The Merrimacians portrait show installation day

30 portraits of people of Merrimac MA - see now at Merrimac Public Library
ends March 30, 2015.
The Facebook page for this project is www.facebook.com/peoplepaintingpeople and there are lots of stories and photos there to see.

The installation is not completely finished, it will take me another day or two to finish collecting entries because of the blizzard, and I'll label the paintings of other contributors and take photos of all the work and put them up on the facebook page.

There were a dozen people who painted models during the almost 30 sitting opportunities and the results are amazing.  There are many many wonderful depictions of those models, try to find the time to view the facebook page over the coming month as it will take a while to post all the photos.

For lots of detailed information about my part in this project, see my daily blog listed here on the sidebar or click here  www.MaryPycheDaily.blogspot.com

Hello from the Blizzard of 2015 - The Merrimacians portrait project

We've been advised to stay inside today and there are another maybe 12 hours of this snow coming down.  The snow bank is only about 5 feet high and the snow is light and fluffy.

What about the People Painting People project?  Well, it's now done and ready for the installation which has been postponed three times now because of snow--but any day now!  I started to post here during the period of time when we were painting the portraits and switched over to my daily blog after that when I was doing the daily work on them.  I did reach my goal of 30 portraits.  It has been a great journey.  Now it will be installed at the library for 2 months.

Jeff Watts videos

There are some nice videos on you tube that are like taking a full length class--3 hours long.  Here is one and if you go there, you'll see other choices.  This one is for guache, which I have wanted to experiment with.
